Decoration ideas for sweet 16 costume ball?
It's my little cousins sweet 16 and it falls in october so she's making it a costume ball....keeping it classy.
Any ideas for decorations to make it look amazing? Nothing cheap.
Details:
- a phantom of the opera would be beautiful, playing some of the music from the classic...a Masquerade Ball...
- Japanese kimono :D
- How about making it a very Hollywood "red carpet" event. Guests come as their favorite movie character. Roll out a red carpet. Decorate with movie posters, stars, film reels. glitz, glamor and glitter. Make an Oscar night.
- I am assuming you are going with a mid 17th century themed ball. You should use tower vases to put flowers in for the centerpieces because that is very ball-esque. If you are on a budget: try to find a retailer that sells vases wholesale and get 1/2 of what you need. Fill these vases with fake long stemmd flowers so they flow outward and not up. On your remaining tables use masquerade masks surrounded by
same colors floral arrangements. This is a very nice and affordable way to go for decor. As far as for the walls I would get cheap bold colored fabric and hang it in drapes every 6 ft or so to get the effect of a ball. These things can be used also: anything gold, tassels, lace, feathers (ostrich or peacock) deep bold colors.
