Decoration Ideas?

Anyone got any good decoration ideas for cakes?

Details:

1. Go to the Food Network website, and look at cakes that have been on ACE OF CAKES (tv show). These are the wackiest cakes you've ever seen!
2. That depends on the occasion - I do find the best inspiration at the strangest places. Like when I was in Hawaii I discovered all these great edible flowers and used them to make a real flower lei to decorate a friends wedding cake. You just have to look at what the occasion is and find art or inspiration that fits the theme. Good Luck!
3. You should do it on whatever the person your doin git for likes!
4. i saw a really cute cake last summer i believe on a family circle magazine, it used teddy grams and jello... the cake looked like a little edible island the jello served as the water... sweedish fish were used, twizlers... all kinds of things. it was SO cute for a kids summer birthday. i also like those cakes with the barbie in the middle and the cake looks like her dress. i like "edible scene"(?) cakes...
5. I like them simply done... either homey looking w/ spread icing in swirls, or maybe nuts or chocoalte shavings pressed into the sides, plain icing on top, or maybe top dusted w/ cocoa or xxx sugar. Depending upon the flavor, toasted nuts or fresh fruit (berries) is always nice.
