I would like to market a panelized / modular home design with a modular home mfr., but not sure how to start?

1) I would like to see my design built. 2) I think I'm looking for a design to construction completion type of relationship with a maufacturer who can produce my home design for sale. I need to have some of the blanks in this statement filled in. Does this make any sense?

1. Write up a business plan. Present it to a Modular Home manufacturer.
2. This is sort of like saying I have recipe for soup that I want Campbells to sell. You need to be in the business. Their are plenty of people who have credentials to perform this work who are in the industry. Also, when it comes to modular construction, two factors are taken into account. The first is nominal dimensions are utilized heavily to eliminate material waste. The second is the use of sizing increments that maximize the amount of the building that can be transported using less trucks. A few feet here or there can mean the difference between the use of two trucks and four trucks to deliver a house. The cost for delivery is an expensive piece of the puzzle with the acquisition of road permits and the use of after hours transportation. My advice is to educate yourself in building design and get a job in the modular construction business.
