- what do you think of my story?
this is just an excerpt. I'd post the whole thing, but it's' too long Faith arrived home late after cheerleading practice following her debate class. She flipped up the three light switches on her wall and threw her keys onto the couch beside her. As the light hit the room, her eyes widened at what she saw. Pink, white, and red rose petals were lied across the floor, stretching as far as the kitchen. Large hearts were placed up on the walls reading I Love You in a thick red ink. “Mom?†Faith followed the trail of roses as it lead into the kitchen. A music box could be heard in the background. It played a soft lullaby that echoed throughout the house. “Is someone there?†Faith called out pacing her steps slowly. There was something about the mood of the home. The decorations and all made it seem so twisted. It was nothing like what a Valentine’s day surprise should be like. From a distance, Faith could someone, someone sitting in a chair with their back turned towards her." Faith was thrown hard and fast from off of the ground and onto a small TV table. The table’s wooden legs snapped inward causing the table to collapse. As it dropped to the ground, Faith grabbed a broken leg and jabbed at Jake’s stomach attempting to hurt him long enough to run away. He stumbled back, giving Faith the opportunity to make a dash for the back door in the kitchen. Jake caught her foot and pulled her to the ground. Faith kicked him in the face and headed for upstairs with Jake tailing her. “Stay way from me!†she screamed running as fast as she could up the stairs. One by one, she could feel herself getting closer towards her room, a room with a lock. Upon reaching the last step, Jake grabbed Faith by her belt in the back of her pants and pulled her down. She slipped onto the stairs knocking Jake down as well. “Help me!†she screamed as Jake crawled up the stairs and on top of her. He reached his hand out to cover up her mouth. “It’ll be alright, baby,†he said in a calm, but disbelieving voice as if he were trying to soothe her. He hand met Faith’s mouth, and that’s when Faith bit hard into his fingers. Jake yelled out in pain before quickly smacking Faith in the face with his other hand. “Get off of me!†Faith kneed Jake in the groin and then kicked him off of her sending him down the flight of stairs. Jake rolled face first into the ground ending with his body in an abstract angle. Silence overcame the room as if he were dead. Faith waited for a moment before standing up. Tears rolled poured from her eyes and down the side of her red cheek. Was he dead? Or was it all a trick to fool Faith into setting herself up for death? Part of her wanted to slowly walk down those stairs, but another part told herself to run. She was so close to a phone, three phones in three rooms, that she could call the police and get help. She finally stood, choosing the smart move, and running to her room. While frantic and panicking, she scrambled through her entire room searching for a phone until she finally decided to head towards her parents’. Her steps were light and almost soundless. She wanted to move as fast as she could, but also as slow as possible. The phone lied on top of her parents’ bed face up. She quickly grabbed it and dialed two numbers:9-1...before hearing a creek on the staircase. She hurried back towards the stairs with her heart beating fast and fear shaking through her entire body. She stopped at the edge and crept over to see where Jake was. “NO…†she gasped nearly falling to the ground. He wasn’t dead, and he was planning his next move. Faith ran into the bathroom and locked the door. Though she wasn’t safe, a locked door could keep Jake away from her long enough to call the police. Three numbers were dialed and as Faith was given an operator she could hear footsteps approaching the door. “Please help me!†she cried, “He’s trying to kill me! He’s going to--†A fist smashed through the door and reached for the door knob. Jake flung the door open and pulled Faith out of the bathroom causing her to drop the phone. “Hello? Ma’am? Are you there?†Faith was thrown onto the floor of her room as she attempted to crawl away for safety. “No! Please, Jake stop it!†she cried trying to free herself from Jake and push him off of her, “PLEASE! SOMEBODY HELP ME!†Jake reached in and forcefully kissed Faith on the lips. It was the most bitter, sick, and twisted kiss she had ever had, but also the most passionate. Faith’s tears were all over Jake’s face by the time he was finished. He sat up, but remained on top of her staring at her frightened face. “Why don’t you love me?†he asked tilting his head in a psychopathic manner. Faith didn’t reply, instead, she shook heavily wanting to free herself from Jake’s clutch but found it harder the more she moved. “Why are you always with…him?†Faith knew Jake was referring to Gary. “Obviously if he loved you back he would have been here to safe you. He’s always there to save you! No matter what, he’s somehow always there!†Faith’s tears dried up as her face began to go pale. “I’ve always been there, Faith, and I’ll always be there. You and me…forever…†Jake tightened his grip on Faith’s neck, taking away the little air she had left. Her hands flung slowly in the air as if she was moving underwater. She wanted to scream, she wanted to beg for mercy and call for help, but she couldn’t.
- my teacher said to plan a child family event and do a outline and present it to the clas do you think this is?
I would let the children help decorate the classroom with their art work. Also let them make the invitations using their hand prints, made in art. I would also have the children work in my classroom so the parents can see what the children have been doing all week. MY INVITATION You are invited to our Art show Date: Time: Place: refreshments/door prizes the door prizes can be some of the children's art work framed. I will have the children make all the decoration. They make tissue paper flowers for the vases. We also will make napkin ring holders. The children will do a presentation of their favorite songs, finger plays etc. They will get to bring their parent to the centers and share their favorite activity with their parent. We play games that we learn in class like memory games. I will video tape the children preparing a snack for their parents. The children take their parent to the table and everyone eats together as one big family. We reassemble in front of the TV and I play the video of their child preparing for the big parent meeting. the importance of putting children in the car seat, potty training info. etc. The children make thank you cards for their parents and draw a picture and I dictate what the children tell me on their picture and send it home with the parents. I also include a survey evaluating our care and ask for suggestions on how we could improve or what other things parents might want us to offer. For the meal I will have pizza and soda .

- Has anyone experienced racism first hand regarding this election, and been shocked?
I am a white 45 year old woman, and I've had two experiences this past week that sort of freaked me out regarding racism in general. I don't judge anyone by the color of their skin. I guess I'm naive, because I didn't think I knew any racists. I was wrong. First, a guy I work with was buying corn stalks for Halloween decorations from a farmer - when the farmer delivered them to his home in a suburban neighborhood in metro Detroit - he said "I see you have some N-lovers on your street." My friend was confused and said what? The farmer repeated it, and pointed to an Obama/Biden sign in a yard down the street. My co-worker kicked him off his property. Unbelievable! Then, out of the blue, another co-worker's husband called my office and I was making small talk. He is a truck driver, UAW member. He said, you know what CHANGE stands for don't you? "Come Help A N**gr Get Elected." It made me sick. I sure have a different opinion of that co-worker. Some world we live in, isn't it? I hope this election is bringing about new ideas and more tolerance on all sides, and not just dividing people. I don't like Obama's politics - but it has nothing to do with race. Any other personal run-ins with racism due to this election? Added to EarthNeedsOil: Michigan is a beautiful place to live. Detroit doesn't represent the entire state. Thanks for the honest responses - I'll try to be more positive - maybe I need to get off Y!A Elections for awhile!

- What Else Can I Do???--Halloween Decorations!!!?
Well , this year my husband & I are doing a Halloween party. I have a few days to think of other decorations I can do that are scary to decorate the living room. I have & made the following: -I put up the spider web -I covered the living room with black sheets- so it looks like an old house -I covered my T.V stand with a black curtain & placed a skeleton hanging from the ceiling & 3 tombstones on the stand with candles. -I did a home made ouija (wee- gee) board - I did a friendly home made ghost -I took one of my daughter's old, doll & shut her eyes with white wax & put blood all over her so she can look creepy & hanged her from her neck in the ceiling. -We have the fog machine & blk. lights. -I did some popcorn hands, using corn candy for the nails & popcorn to make the hands using gloves. -I did a jar with creatures & red water -I have decorations to stick on the walls. I still need to put more dec. on 2 walls- & I prefer you guys giving me home made ideas. The two walls needs decorations, but I'm really low on budget- the rest of the cash I have left is for the drinks, food etc. Anyone with good ideas, welcome, I'm thinking more of creepy stuff, like things that I mentioned on the list. I'm trying to give the livingroom a haunted look- so if you guys can help me it'll be wonderful. Oh- I forgot to mention I also have carved pumpkins, and I know those go great with any decorations . I prefer personal ideas- not links... Thanks in advanced
- My wife is mad because I let our kids make Halloween costumes this weekend; what's her problem?
I can't believe how she is acting! Her mother came home from the hospital yesterday after a minor surgery, and my wife went up to the hospital in the morning to bring her home and spend the day with her. I was left in charge of the house and kids, and before she left she said it would be nice if, instead of spending the day drinking and letting the kids tear up the house, I would get everyone together and go to church. Well, I was squirming at the thought of that, and I know she could tell, because she said that if I was good and did the church thing she'd bring home some surprise for me. Well, the surprise part sounded okay, so I said that I would. Well, when I got the kids up and said we were all going to go to church, they started whining, saying church was boring, and that they wanted to get ready for Halloween. I said no, that we were going to church, so everyone get ready. They whined and complained, but started dragging themselves around. I went into the kitchen to see about breakfast. Well, our five year old comes into the kitchen and says he's thirsty, so I said for him to go to the fridge and get out a juice box to drink, but he grabbed one of my beers by mistake, so I had to take it from him and exchange it for a juice box, telling him, "No, this one is daddy's drink; here's your juice." Well, I really intended not to start drinking, but it was already in my hand, so I thought one wouldn't hurt. Well, the other kids came into the kitchen and my oldest daughter started in on me when she me drinking the beer, saying I would surely be too drunk to drive, so no one could go to church. I said that was nonsense, that one beer wasn't going to inebriate me, but she kept up her protest and really started to irritate me, so I ordered everyone out of the kitchen. No sooner had they left the kitchen than the three girls started arguing over hair barrettes, and my yelling at them to knock it off did no good; my head was starting to hurt from the noise, so I had another beer, just to stop my headache. My daughter comes back in the kitchen, sees the empty beer can, and me drinking the new one, and starts hollering again that I'm too drunk to drive, and I just gave up; if they didn't want to go to church, fine. Well, we got through breakfast, although they said their mother wouldn't like me giving them leftover pizza and cola, but I told them their mother wouldn't mind what they ate for breakfast if they didn't tell her, now would she? Third beer. After breakfast, the kids were all hyper about Halloween, and wanted to go shopping for Halloween stuff. I was on my fourth beer and thought they should learn that crap like that is expensive, so I told them that when I was a kid we never bought costumes or decorations, but made them ourselves. I told them to look around the house for stuff they could use for homemade costumes and decorations. After that, we had a great time! I joined in on the fun, helping them cut up sheets for ghost costumes, use their mother's makeup kit to make them look like ghouls, etc. I got inspired, and transformed our son into an impressive punk-rocker, even shaved a killer mohawk into his hair! I knew he would totally have the coolest costume in his kindergarten class. Well, as I'm finishing his hair, I hear my wife walk into the living room, where she spied the couch covered with the silly string the kids had sprayed on it to look like spider webs. I heard her say, "Oh, God", then start yelling, "Jack! WHERE ARE YOU? WILL YOU COME HERE, PLEASE?" I knew from the sound of her voice I was in trouble then. It didn't matter that the kids and I had had a great day, she just dragged me through the house, shrieking as she found each new thing to complain about. I am not too certain what she was carrying on for; something about 1500 thread count sheets not being good for costumes; after fourteen beers, I wasn't listening too hard. She also wasn't happy with her makeup being "destroyed", as she put it, and why hadn't I kept my promise to go to church and not drink?! Well, she was being so unreasonable then, that my protests that the kids had practically put the beer in my hand and forced it down my throat made no impression on her. I insisted that the kids didn't want to go to church anyway, and their costumes were lovely. Well, she went on a tirade, sent the kids to bed, and made me sleep on the couch. She never did give me the surprise she promised. :( Why can't she see this wasn't my fault? And what is her problem with the kids having some Halloween fun?
- CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THIS DREAM MEANS?
I was at a lake the air was fresh and very sunny and the grass was so green everything was just cheerful. I was sitting near the lake close enough for the water to come up to my feet. I was watching the water ripple when it started to get more violent and the ripples turned into waves. So i stood up and i got away from the water cause it went from clear to all gooey and gross. This weird monster came out that looked like sea weed and it seemed to be made out of water but pollution as well. He said that i was to go down to his place and keep him company. He seemed sweet but his eyes betrayed his intent. So naturally i just backed away. He got upset cause i wouldn't go with him to his underwater home that he started running after me and was about to touch me when my locket opened up(i own a four framed locket with my family in it in real life) and started to glow a bright yellowish color and it seemed to create a rectangler barrier around me. The creature touched it and the barrier turned into green sludge very slowly and just callapsed. I took a step back and my locket glowed brighter this time and made water form around me like a snake type thing and started to shoot itself at the monster but the monster being out of water itself just went through the attack. My locket glowed gold this time and a gust of wind erupted and trees and flowers started to form a barrier between me and the monster and when the monster touched the trees suddenly the barrier got all thorny and scary and the monster couldn't do anything about it like the other times. Suddenly some vines come down form a tree near me and formed itself into a Japanese fan with hand painted butterflies as a decoration and i fanned it towards the monster and it sent it flying back into the water and the fan turned into particles of dirt and fell to the ground and all the things my locket created seemed to turn small and go into my locket. What does this mean? I'm a 19 year old male. I shouldnt be dreaming something so childish.

- what would an 18 month old give their parents for christmas?
i babysit 18 month old triplets (2 girls and a boy) and i really wanted to do something cute with them for christmas presents for their mom and dad. im thinking something really simple, home made, and not hard or messy to make. does anyone have any cute ideas?... i mean i could even do the bulk of it, then write their names on it or something but i want it to be from the kids to their parents. i also babysit a 1 year old boy... from a different family. and i was thinking i wanted to do the same thing for him too.... im planning on basically doing that one by myself. any one know how expensive those like... cement things are... where you put the kids hands in the cement, and like little sparkly decorations and stuff? is that too hard for a one and a half year old???... ive never even tried one up close. thanks everyone! happy holidays.
- 3 labeo fish dead, other species fine?
I had 3 labeo bicolors in my tank. Yesterday I rearranged the decoration in my tank and the dirt from underneith my gravel came loose and clouded up my tank. It was alot even though I stir the gravel regularly. I also made sure my hands were clean (not even soap residu). so I did a partial water change to get rid of some of the dirt. the filter also took care of some of it. the rest just sunk back to the bottom. Now I came home today to find one of my 3 labeo fish dead, the second died an hour ago and I just euthanized the third because it was about 10 minutes away from death. They were pale and had even paler patches on their bodies, they were floating around at a 45 degree angle. their fins were a bit frayed ( could be the other fish nipped their fins because they seemed dead-ish). All the other fish are fine altho my clownloach is a tad more lethargic and he has lightly frayed dorsal fin (beginning of the end or my imagination?) could they have gotten poisened or something? I doubt they fought, my tank is right next to me so I'm always watching my fishies. even after the change in decor I've never seen more than a 2 second chase. I'm more worried about my clown loach right about now. I love my loaches like someone would a dog

That smell… Oh, that wonderful smell! What is it? A plate of French toast with, clearly, professional decoration around it appeared in front of me almost out of thin air, but I thought nothing of it. I tried reaching that wonderful, tasty-looking toast. My hand was almost there, getting closer, closer... What?! An invisible shield around the plate stopped me! What was happening?! I woke up realizing it was just a dream. But that amazing smell was still there! I lay there, in my bed for about ten minutes thinking about where it was coming from. I knew my two children would never make me any French toast. My next door neighbor? Someone across the street? I finally got out of bed to find out. I put on my dressing down, went down the stairs in to the kitchen, and that was when I realized where it was coming from.... My next door neighbor. I went back to my bedroom to try and figure out what to do.Well what could I do?! I could plead for some. Or... may be there was another way to get what I wanted. I put my clothes on as fast as possible, raced down the stairs, out the door, to my next door neighbor's house. I crept about looking for where that lovely smell was coming from. In front of me, on a ledge, stood a towering pile of steaming french toast. Oh, I wanted that toast. It smelled as nice to me as a dozen roses. But Mary would never let me have any. Not in a million years. She hates me. Why, oh why couldn't someone else have made them? That was when I thought of it. I could steal them... What fo you think? I was thinking of making a novel about the main character being caught and being locked up... What do you think? By the way I'm only 14 w00t!!! I thought about this proposal for at least ten minutes. At last I came to a conclusion. If I did get caught, the worst that would happen is a fine or possibly a night in a cell. I mean, they weren't valuable, were they? Hell, I'll do it! I looked around to make sure no one was watching and then reached up towards them. My hand was almost there, getting closer, closer... I managed to get them. I couldn't believe it. I even did a little jig, then I rushed home without a second thought, and ate them up within a minute. "Oh, that was so worth it." I thought to myself. I then spent the whole day without thinking about it, until just before bed. I then thought about what was going to happen tomorrow. Will Mary make another batch of French toast? Does she know I stole some and is just trying to catch me in the act? Well I'll have to wait and see... Please comment on what you think. I was thinking about making a novel about the main character getting caught... What do you think? By the way, I'm only 14 w00t

- Did I "Paint the Picture?"?
my mom always tells me that the key to writing a good book is to "paint the picture". you can't just expect your readers to see the same thing you are. it makes total sense to me and i was just curious if my first chapter (even though its not finished) paints a picture for you. The engine cut off with a hum and my seat belt unlocked at the same moment. I grabbed my backpack and pulled at the door with a sigh. I planted my feet firmly before I shut the door. As I headed to the porch I watched my step for the sneaky black ice that tends to jump up at you. As walked up the seven steps to the house, I savored the last silent thoughts I would have inside my head, for I knew what was waiting for me behind the front door. I reached the door, and automatically my hand stretched out for the knob. I gave it a good twist, pushed it with a little power and took a step inside. I turned with the door and shut it behind me. I slipped out of my shoes, kicked them out of the way and waited for it. It wasn’t long until I heard the murmurs. But as soon as I had taken another breath she was already there. “Violet!†I met her eyes and smiled brightly, just as anyone would. “Hey Darcy.†I managed to get out before I was suffocating in her arms. “God you look the exact same-†“Good your home. I’m glad; you’re just in time for cake decorations.†“Oh mom, its okay I really don’t want to intrude on Darcy’s things. I mean isn’t this a mother-daughter thing?†“Well considering I have two daughters, it’s going to be a mother-daughter-daughter thing.†Her hands were already reaching for me and I was forced out of my jacket and scarf before I knew it. “Besides I need your opinion, you are the only one who I can truly trust in this house†Darcy winked at me in the same moment that my mother shot her a “yeah right†glare. I walked to the kitchen with my mom rattling on in one ear and my sister in the other. Darcy was talking about how she wants a classic looking cake, and I think my mom said she wanted something with a modern-twist. I wasn’t paying attention, my mind was elsewhere. I sat down next to Darcy, and my mom sat on her other side. The book was right in front of Darcy and already opened before I even blinked twice. After two hours of looking at baked goods, I eventually made them believe I had homework to do. I practically ran to my bedroom, knowing if I took too long they would weasel me back into there plans. I closed the door, and breathed in the sweet scent of raspberry. It was the one thing I would never get tired of. It was comforting, sweet, and only two dollars and eighty three cents at the store (the plug-ins that is). I went to my dresser, got a hair-tie and pulled my hair back and put it into a pony resting on my neck. Just as I was about to turn away from my bed I noticed a little white envelope sitting on my pillow. I smiled, knowing exactly what it was. I took two steps, picked it up and read the front of the envelope addressed to, “my dearest little sisterâ€. I turned it around and slipped my finger underneath the seal to open it. Inside held the invitation to Darcy’s wedding. The paper was so soft; it could’ve been mistaken for silk. I let my finger glide across the letters before I actually read them, I knew if I read them now I would fall over, considering the date for the wedding was just a little over two months away. Something about the date always caught me off guard, and it wasn’t even like the day was dedicated to me or anything. It was just the way it all sounded. March 11th my older sister would be marrying the love of her life, and I would be standing next to her as the proud maid of honor. It didn’t seem to be real. I still remember when she announced to mom and dad that she was marrying Brain, it was raining outside, and I had just walked in. My mother had tears of joy coming down her cheeks, and my dad was already crunching numbers. But here we are, December 3rd and we just finished the final decisions, the cake decorations. I sighed and set the invitation down on my desk, knowing it would be waiting for me to read one day. I sat on the edge of my bed and stretched my arms up high above my head. As I was lying down I heard the familiar ring of my cell phone. I let out with a grunt and picked up my phone from underneath my bed. I glanced at the caller ID and saw in big bolded letters TIFFANY. “Hello?†“Hey its me, so I was out getting the mail and my neighbor, the police man, you know which one I’m talking about?†“Yes, I know which one, the old one right?†“Right right, well he was talking to me about this family moving in down the street.†I was trying to relate this back to me or her in any way, but I couldn’t find the connection. “And what does this have to do with us?†“Well I heard this family consists of some sons…†I caught on instantly; Tiffany was a little boy crazy. But the one part I didn’t quite get was that tiffany already had a boyfriend, that she oops a few words were cutt off... I caught on instantly; Tiffany was a little boy crazy. But the one part I didn’t quite get was that tiffany already had a boyfriend, that she adores, so why is she so excited about the new neighbors, but just as the thoughts ran through my head, I realized what she was implying. the paragraph that cut off.
- Fanfiction story someone BETA.please?
Alright so I'm writing a fanfiction for the story Twilight. And I need someone who is good with grammar to help me fix this. Like a BETA-since I can't find one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BPOV... It was around 3 in the afternoon and I was in the car with Jacob, we were coming from the mall getting some last minute decorations and now he was giving me a lift to Alice's house. I was extremely excited.. I was officially 16!! And I had my first kiss yesterday night, and I have been replaying it in my head over and over the whole day... After Jacob dropped Embry and Leah off he drove me home and when I was about to leave-the next thing I know his lips smashed into mine.. I never imagined it to be so wet, warm..and mind blowing. When he pulled off, I had to lean in again for some more action-it was just that good, the way his tongue brushed against mines and his thick lips on me...felt amazing... After that I had to call Alice and tell her everything, including the fact that he said I was good kisser. Which really made my night, and was by far the most flattering thing any one has ever said to me. I would never have imagine that I would get my first kiss any time soon-it all feels so weird like if I'm growing up too fast... But anyways, today I pretty much spent the morning with my dad (he made me breakfast), and my mom called afterwards. I didn't get presents from neither...but the party would be enough-I could wait till Christmas for gifts... Jacob and I had spent the early afternoon together on my birthday... NEVER would I imagine spending my birthday with a guy shopping and making out..It all seemed to weird but now it was time for me to hang with Alice and get started on the decorations.. “so, are you excited?†he asked while taking a left turn I nodded feeling the cheesy smile on my face “I'm psyched†He started chuckling, resting his arm at my seat while the other hand was on the wheel “oh yeah..my friends are going to bring some booze. Will that be cool? “no, I told you we'll have, my friends are bringing beer and that's enough.†I said, now taking off my seatbelt “well actually it might not, I'm bringing like 10 guys..and they like to drink.†“what-no fucking way-then don't even bring your college friends..this party is rated pg13...†I said “what are you trying to say?†he asked amused “I'm not trying to say anything-I'm saying it..†I was now adjusting my body to face him “I don't want any rated r stuff going on... Jacob-almost everyone there would be a minor..†“jeez, Bella all we want is to have a good time-dancing, nothing like that..†he said, now pulling over. “alright but what happens if your friends do get drunk?†“well they are going to get drunk...many people are going to get drunk Bella-it's bond to happen. But if they get too wild or anything than I'll take care of it†he said now leaning towards me with a cocky smile “good. I take it your not drinking?†I asked, feeling suddenly hot now that our faces were inches apart. “yeah I am-but not enough to get drunk.†he whispered “good†I said and started grabbing the bags on by feet but he pulled my hands up, grabbing both hands with his one huge hand.. “hold on-hold on†I held back a smile knowing what he wanted, and pressed my lips against his-slowly and softly I moved my lips with his and then lightly brushed my tongue on his bottom lip which I took note of last night when he did this to me. Jacob took my face into his hands and started kissing me back, much rougher than when we were at the mall... I finally pulled off “alright-alright you freak†I joked “I'll see you later†He chuckled “sure-sure†“kay buh bye†I said, opening the door and running to the house. ... By 4pm we already had the huge living room and kitchen decorated. Alice's mom helped us cover the walls with a red plastic cloth so it can make it look like it weren't a living room. The couch was moved into the guest room, and we bought this other separate couch they had-which was more wider and it was a solid color which would fit well with neon environment. After her mother left for the weekend, with Alice's step father as well-we continued with the decorating. I posted random posters of Duran Duran, I love the 80's, Billy Idol, Madonna, Wham! and other random things like McDonalds ad pictures and other 80's related stuff. Alice started checking to see the Jello shots she had made 2 hours ago, and I went ahead decorating the center piece..putting cassettes on the gold table cloth and filling in the large bowl with popular candies from the 80's like pop rocks, nerds, and chicklets... I looked around taking in everything, it all seemed pretty cool..the neon rope lights and the checkered streamers were a great idea-but we were missing colorful cups and napkins which Tia said she would bring.. While taping the colorful balloons and lay
- Your comments on the story i'm writing?
I have started with a story. As of now I have done the character sketch of the main characters. Please read and give in your feedback. Amy: Amy Newton was born in New York and had stayed with her father in the city forever. Her father, Herbert Newton, a famous businessman was travelling most of the time to different countries because of work. Lucy Newton, her mother had passed away when she was only two. Brought up by nannies and maid’s Amy was closer to them during her initial years of growing up. Yet she respected and loved her father more than anyone in this world. Herbert fulfilled all her desires and wishes... expect one. He was not able to spend “Quality†time with his daughter. Amy had travelled with her father across the world during her summer vacations and had enjoyed those days the most as they brought her closer to her father. She detested when the vacations came to an end. The Newton’s had a huge mansion in New York. It was an 8 Bedroom, 3 floored house with a swimming pool in the backyard and a garden in the front which was the size of a baseball field. Built by a famous architect from Rome, the house had ethnic and classical touch of the Roman civilization. Paintings from famous artists hung on the carved walls. The Mansion depicted the wealth of Mr. Newton who was a self-made man. Every room had a different theme. There were rare pieces of decorations brought from different parts of the world to enhance the beauty of the mansion. It was the most aesthetic white structure that the city had ever seen. Milky white marble statues found place in the gardens of the house, which were illuminated with bright lights during the night. The place was no less than a fairy tale castle sitting magnificently in the city, praised by all its audience. Amy was a very beautiful girl. She had the perfect features and perfect body. Long brown hair which were never out of place. It seemed like she never had a bad hair day. Big green eyes which never missed any detail. A smile so warm that it made a dull day bright and shinny. She looked like a ramp model which made boys go all ‘oohh and aahh’ and girls all jealous. A down to earth girl Amy was. Talented and intelligent, she had always been a topper in her school and college. She never mentioned that she was “AMY NEWTON†infront of a crowd, because she wanted to be just Amy. Her father’s name when attached with hers changed things completely. People almost fell to their knees. And she loathed this. Amy enjoyed being outside her home though. An independent soul, she didn’t like to be dependent on her father. Her father on the other hand did not approve her taking up summer jobs when she was not travelling with him. Peacefully both father and daughter used to discuss this issue. Now as she was going to be 20, Amy had decided that she will not join her father’s business. Instead she had a different plan sketched up for her life. But Herbert was hell bent for her to join him as soon as possible. She was delaying the option with excuses that made her father angry. It was her 20th birthday that changed things for Amy. Mark: Mark Stevens was a born rebel. His father, Andrew Stevens, was a famous Lawyer of London. His mother, Emily Stevens, was the owner of one of the most expensive boutique in London. Rich and Famous list was not complete if ‘The Stevens’ were not mentioned in it. And Mark never left any opportunity to use his “Status†to get things done. His father did not like it when he misused their family name. A lot of arguments took place between the father and the son on almost daily basis. Emily was the pacemaker. She took time out of her busy schedule to sit with Mark and talk to him. This made Mark closer to his mother. He confided his deepest secrets to her. In London, the Stevens had a “Palace†in which they lived. It was indeed a palace, which belonged to one of the royalties of the country in the early centuries. Andrew Stevens had bought the property at a very handsome price. Emily had decorated their “Home†in the most beautiful manner. Everything was exquisite, expensive and exotic. A library which was bigger than the town library, an indoor sports area constructed which was well equipped. Both Mark and Andrew enjoyed sports a lot. Andrew was the football team captain when he was in high school. And Mark had led his school team to victory in swimming and basket ball. Their beautiful garden had flowers which were of rare species. The Palace was made of grey brick and stones. A long drive way from the main gate which was huge and made up of wrought iron. Tall and beautiful trees covering the drove way on both sides. A fountain was in the middle of the enormous garden. The palace was included in the most exotic and breath taking palaces of the country. When Mark was 5, his father wanted him learn how to play tennis but Mark was keener on learning swimming. He felt ‘the water’ belonged to him. Mark had created a big scene When Mark was 5, his father wanted him learn how to play tennis but Mark was keener on learning swimming. He felt ‘the water’ belonged to him. Mark had created a big scene and finally his father had to agree with Mark and grant him his wish. Usually when there was a conflict between Mark and his father, Mark won. One reason was that Emily supported Mark. She was the only person who understood... or atleast kind of understood her son. “Brat†was what his father called him when he was upset with Mark. While he was growing up, his father fed into his mind that Mark should become a Lawyer – Just like him – in future. Mark was not fond of this particular career option. He felt he will be overshadowed by his father’s name once he took up law. Though he was a brilliant student and could easily make it big in any of the professions he would have chosen, but being a lawyer was something he had absolutely rejected since childhood. He did not want to be like his father. Mark was a handsome boy. He had the looks of a royalty. Bright blue eyes which pierced easily through anybody’s soul, Pearly white skin with a face and body which belonged to only Greek gods. He was every girl’s dream come true. He was in reach of every soul around him, yet so far. He was a kind of person who understood the situation well and manipulated it according to his benefits. His mind worked in a manner which nobody could ever understand. Not a predictable person Mark was but he could easily predict others. He had already planned his future and was quiet determined on going against his father’s wishes. He knew his mother would support him, like she always had. He also knew that when he would tell his father about his plans, his father would throw a fit around the house which would be extremely difficult to handle. But Mark was ready for all that.
- im writing a story plz tell me what you thin thank u, wud i b able to publish?
tell me any comment or good points or bad plz. and wud it b able to become published when finished its only 1st chapter. The build up 1999 The streets of New York were quiet, nothing was alive and nothing had motion. It was boxing day half seven in the evening most job workers of the big city were sleeping in their homes tired from all the fuss Christmas day had offered them. The large black bins on streets were full of disposable Christmas decorations, empty bottles of rich red wine and large bottles of vodka. The mothers were satisfied with the joys which had been blessed on the families in this time of the year. Also the children who thought Santa existed were chuffed with there top of the range clothes and gifts which had been given to them on Christmas morning, however the family men were still recovering from all the debts that they owed to the manipulating bills and presents they could not afford. To make things worse they were also recovering from the hangovers which had been given to them from the brothers in laws and their obsession always to drink vodka on every celebration. It was a time of year they hated and despised however were hiding it to keep the children happy and keep safe from the desperate wifes bellowing down their ears. They were now looking forward to nothing except a financial disaster for the new year on the other hand they were still praying for one thing. That the conference in the morning for the big boxing fight between Lewis Carters and James Husky went well and the fight was to go forward. By now it was eight o clock, paparazzi were outside the queens park palace waiting for Lewis Carters to arrive at the conference. He would often do this to build suspense in the atmosphere and get all the people from his home town, Louisville Kentucky, to cheer him on when he got there. James Husky was already in the building., he was Lewis Carters opponent and is the heavy weight champion. He has been fighting professional for 25 years and has been undefeated since he had the belt- he has had eight fights since he had had won the title and has either knocked his opponents out within the first two rounds or they have got so hurt in the fight from his deadly combinations of punches that the coaches and trainers have thrown in the towel. It was going to be the best fight since Muhammad Ali and Joe Frasier fought it out in the famous fight known commonly as the gorilla in manila. Husky was a fairly tall man with a muscular build, he had a very quick reacting mind in the ring, he was a powerful puncher and the unordinary thing about him is that he can might either orthodox or southpaw stance in the ring. He was given the nickname James the power man Husky after knocking Fredson juniour out in the 2nd round with a lethal uppercut which knocked one of fredsons moulders out of his mouth blood was all over the ring and it was classed to be one of the most memorable fights in history. What made it unordinary was this was when he was in the cruiser weight and the power of the punch was the equivalent of Geroge Foremans awesome hooks.. James always stay focused on the aim of the fight which is to win and that integrity and spirit has won him most of his fights. A characteristic which made him stand outside the ring was that he was very crotchety this was also the case after his fights and in public. Whenever he was victorious over one of his fights he would always end up yelling at a bewildered reporter who he would end up either pushing onto the floor. Even though he was like this, it was what made him entertaining to watch and he is known to have one of the most amazing attitudes to live. In the conference room Husky was wearing an black swage suit with a black striped shit and blue aqua coloured tie, he was sitting in there patiently waiting for the conference to progress. While James Husky was inside sitting on lined table on the right side of the room sipping his glass of squeezed lemon, loud chaotic noises were coming from outside. Husky got out of his Brown leather chair and looked outside the window and developed a tormenting smile. Outside was a large Grey gold plated 550 Ferrari Maranello, it was being blocked by a crowd and the car was unable to move forward so it pulled to the side of the curve and stopped. The passengers door was opened and Bobby Norton approached onto the road. Bobby Norton was Lewis Carters promoter and had been his promoter for years. He was experienced at what he did and was also a promoter of other great fighters like Ben Gills Olympic silver medallist in welter weight and also Benvollio Dulcet heavy weight champion from 1997 to 1998 however he was less popular when he was defeated by “James the power man Husky†in 1998. Norton was a very popular man also known for when he used to be a entrepreneur for many successful training businesses located all over the States and Europe however he gave all his businesses to his oldest son Thomas Norton mainly due to being so busy in his promoting work. On the other hand nobody really cared about his career professions just cared about him being a good looking multi millionaire mainly because of the many privatized companies that he owns. Which could be anything leisure companies, electronics or even a broad way drug racket for a mob living in little Italy but who knows nobody really tried to get on his made side in public and in the media, due to the several people who have crossed him in their lives have received extra attention by his body guards which isn’t a pretty site.
- Why are customers this stupid?
I work retail and most of the customers make no sense in what they need. Yesterday this woman lost her store credit card, so I told her it's best to close the account and transfer everything over to a new number. Simple right? But she does not want her current account close and she does not want anyone to use the card if they find it. Basically, she wants her missing credit card to remain active and hope no one will use it. I said pay for the item now then put a block, (since no activity has been done) in case she does finds it the same number can be used (in case she left it at home or in another pocket). She gets angry and start yelling for no reason and complain. Saying I'm giving her a hard time and just close the account all together. She then said she want to replace the card with the same number? She didn't want a new number, while she fully understand that same number can be in someone else's hands. She was so rude, loud, and annoying. And she's someone's mom? She didn't make much sense and was nothing more but an extremely rude drama queen. I thought transfering everything to a new number would be good, everything that was on the old card will still be there and if someone tries to use the old one it won't work. But she didn't want that. What the hell did she want? She even complain to the manager which told me she thought she made no sense as well and ignore the complaint. My first complaint actually. I'm really dreading Jan, Feb and March as this is when Christmas trees are usually returned. Most have some decorations on it and fully assembled. Do you realize how annoying it is to move in the stock room with a wall of christmas trees? It's always these low lives screaming for no reason and they get away with it cause they wear out the managers. The manager's face goes in to a haze and they just go take it back. The customer usually say it's too full looking, or it's not the right color green? I never understood the color green reason. I dunno I'm running close to 3 yrs and everyday you get these strange people. If you don't understand something fine, I don't mind explaining, but why do they get so upset over something stupid? I hate when I'm looking up a credit account and I ask for "any picture id" and they scream they only have a driver's license/ work card/gym card/ image on another credit card with name/discont metrocard with name and picture/ passport and not a "picture ID". What is clearly than: "Any picture ID"? "All I have is a passport (not this picture ID you speak of)" They scream each time and yet they have ID in their hand. You know what I hate most? People returning stuff without a bag or a reciept. I know most of them are just picking a random item off the shelve. Or return without the bag and just the receipt, cause a lot of them just leave the item at home grab the same one off the shelf and say they are returning it. It's really annoying, and if you try to tell them while after you do the return they get mad as well. But because they do have the receipt, the loss provention office say they can't really do anything cause they do have the receipt, even though they know they are stealing by taking the duplicate item off the shelf? That I do not understand. Last is phone numbers, nobody gives the area code first which I find dumb cause so many people have different area codes. And when you ask they give you the zip code. And when you correct them they get mad or end up looking for it on their cellphones. Is it really hard to memorize a few numbers? I dunno I just need to vent. I really hate it the worst part is they say just go ahead with the transaction. And most of these people are not very clever at all.
- What do you think of my Child Education theories? Is this not the proper way to educate a young Lord?
When older people are present at table and a child wants to say something, he must be taught to stop eating momentarily and look at his mother, who at the first pause in the conversation will say, "What is it, dear?" And the child then has his say. If he wants merely to launch forth on a long subject of his own conversation, his mother says, "Not now, darling, we will talk about that by and by," or "Don't you see that mother is talking?" When children are at table alone with their mother, they should not only be allowed to talk but unconsciously trained in table conversation as well as in table manners. Children are all more or less little monkeys in that they imitate everything they see. If their mother treats them exactly as she does her visitors they in turn play "visitor" to perfection. Nothing hurts the feelings of children more than not being allowed to behave like grown persons when they think they are able. To be helped, to be fed, to have their food cut up, all have a stultifying effect upon their development as soon as they have become expert enough to attempt these services for themselves. Children should be taught from the time they are little not to talk about what they like and don't like. A child who is not allowed to say anything but "No, thank you," at home, will not mortify his mother in public by screaming, "I hate steak, I won't eat potato, I want ice cream!" however sometimes even with a good education, a child's bad character may take over from time to time, if this were to happen, the child should not be beaten up in front of the guests. Older children should not be allowed to jerk out their chairs, to flop down sideways, to flick their napkins by one corner, to reach out for something, or begin to eat nuts, fruit or other table decorations. A child as well as a grown person should sit down quietly in the center of his chair and draw it up to the table (if there is no one to push it in for him) by holding the seat in either hand while momentarily lifting himself on his feet. He must not "jump" or "rock" his chair into place at the table. In getting up from the table, again he must push his chair back quietly, using his hands on either side of the chair seat, and not by holding on to the table edge and giving himself, chair and all, a sudden shove! There should never be a sound made by the pushing in or out of chairs at table. No young human being, any more than a young dog, has the least claim to attractiveness unless it is trained to manners and obedience. The child that whines, interrupts, fusses, fidgets, and does nothing that it is told to do, has not the least power of attraction for any one, even though it may have the features of an angel and be dressed like a picture. Another that may have no claim to beauty whatever, but that is sweet and nicely behaved, exerts charm over every one. When possible, a child should be taken away the instant it becomes disobedient. It soon learns that it can not "stay with mother" unless it is well-behaved. This means that it learns self-control in babyhood. Not only must children obey, but they must never be allowed to "show off" or become pert, or to contradict or to answer back; and after having been told "no," they must never be allowed by persistent nagging to win "yes." A child that loses its temper, that teases, that is petulant and disobedient, and a nuisance to everybody, is merely a victim, poor little thing, of parents who have been too incompetent or negligent to train it to obedience. Moreover, that same child when grown will be the first to resent and blame the mother's mistaken "spoiling" and lack of good sense. If a hostess says, "Good-bye, give my love to your mother!" the child answers, "Yes, Mrs. Smith." In all monosyllabic replies a child must not say "Yes" or "No" or "What?" A boy in answering a gentleman still uses the old-fashioned "Yes, sir," "No, sir," "I think so, sir," but ma'am has gone out of style. Both boys and girls must therefore answer, "No, Mrs. Smith," "Yes, Miss Jones." A girl says "Yes, Mr. Smith," rather than "sir." All children should say, "What did you say, mother?" "No, father," "Thank you, Aunt Kate," "Yes, Uncle Fred," etc. They need not insert a name in a long sentence nor with "please," or "thank you." "Yes, please," or "No, thank you," is quite sufficient. Or in answering, "I just saw Mary down in the garden," it is not necessary to add "Mrs. Smith" at the end.
- Will this next dream be prophetic too?
I had a dream that I was watching a delivery guy hand my husband a white envelope and that I'm standing in the kitchen with a garbage can full of fast food wrappers (may be irrelevant..lol) but never know what the envelope contains. A week later my brother in law drops by the house (While we've got major remodeling happening) and wakes me up from a nap (yes, I napped while the carpenters were here lol) to tell me that he was being served - in other words sued! He was holding a 52 page packet in a large white envelope. The next day my husband goes to check our mail and comes home with a large white envelope (certified mail) with a petition... he's being court ordered to attend a court hearing regarding mineral rights to his families land (we already knew this was happening) and was told that the judge has given the attorneys 90 days to wrap this up. After a few days, I have another dream where my daughter and I are on our way to buy shoes (for my kids) and we miss our ramp on the interstate, and I have to take a detour and after much driving we get to where we need to go and while in a department store I ask her to hold on to my purse and she wanders off and looses it. I am frantically looking for her and she finally appears without my purse. I keep searching and find it but all my money is gone. I go to a back room in the dept. store and there are two sofas... I immediately begin to cry and then a woman (with child) asks whats wrong and I tell her "I've just lost all my money - my kids' shoe money!" and she reaches into her pocket and says she's going to give me money and I stop her and say "I can't ask you to do that." then I don't know what happens but I find myself packing up Christmas decorations from a small table (I don't know why but in my dream we are "visiting" a hospital for my son) and I come across a stack of folders and in the folders there is this woman's adoption file of the child that's with her in the dream, and A LOT of money, blank checks made out by a company and bank account information. I'm unsure what all this means... can someone help me????
- Can you please edit this story?
It was a warm and crisp morning in Tampa Bay, Florida. As usual, little Benny was late for school. He had slept in, yet again, and took ages to get dressed. But today, it was all right, because today was Halloween. He clapped his chubby hands and giggled in glee, because tonight, he was going to get the most candy in history. He lumbered downstairs, clearly taking his time as his mother scurried around trying to catch Benny’s little brother, Jimmy. “Benny! Hurry up! The bus already left so you are going to have to walk!†Cried his mother, finally catching Jimmy and quickly giving him his pacifier. “Okay mommy!†replied Benny as he quickly propped himself onto his chair and helped himself to his usual breakfast of Nesquik cereal and a banana. “Hey mom!†said Benny, leisurely reading the back of his cereal box, “Did you know that butter doesn’t really come from butterflies?†“Yes, Benny.†Replied his mother who was panting from the bout of exercise. “Butter, is made from milk.†Happy he had learned something new, Benny quickly finished the rest of his breakfast. Benny dashed over to his mom and his brother for a quick goodbye hug. He grabbed his “Cars†backpack and was out the door. Equipped with the note his mother had given him, he had no fear of becoming late, and walked very slowly. While walking, he made mental notes of where to stop tonight for candy by carefully regarding the decorations of each house. Not long after, he arrived at Jan Stewart Holly P.S. He climbed the stairs to the second floor where his grade 2 classes were and turned right. “Hello Benny!†greeted his teacher, “Hang up your coat and join us. We’re telling spooky stories!†Benny did as told, and he grabbed a seat beside his frenemy, Lily. Lily and Benny were not the best of friends, as they found each other quite annoying and fought often. Today, it was visible that Lily was in an exceptional mood. She was playing with her hair, and humming a happy song. “Hey Benny…†whispered Lily. “Wanna have a contest?†“What for?†Responded Benny surprised at the fact that Lily was actually talking to him. “To see who can get the most Halloween candy!†Benny thought about it, and quickly (and much to his own surprised) agreed. "Loser has to give all their candy to the winner!" concluded Benny. As the rest of the day dragged on, the anticipation for trick or treating grew and grew. After what seemed like forever, the bell finally rung. “So see you tomorrow?†asked Lily. “Yep, get ready to lose all of your candy!†Replied Benny. “We’ll see about that…†said a confident Lily. As soon as Benny returned home, he jumped into his costume. “Better early then late†he thought. For this Halloween, Benny was being Batman. It was a great costume, even his big sister Larissa had agreed. Larissa was in college, but this year, she would be coming home and taking Benny to go trick or treating. “Come on Larissa! LETS GO!†Shouted Benny. He needed to win this contest, because Lily had always beaten him in everything. At this moment, his ego was pretty battered. “Okay, okay!†Replied Larissa. “Just let me get dressed!†Benny was annoyed, could she get any slower? “Are you done now?!†Cried Benny. “ NO!†Replied Larissa. “I need to do my makeup!†“Girls are so high maintenance, thought Benny. He was happy he wasn’t a girl. After a good half hour, they left the house. Eager to trick or treat, Benny ran ahead of his sister and began to knock on doors. Slowly, but steadily, his pillowcase became more and more full. Benny’s mouth began to water. “Concentrate!†he thought to himself, “I can’t get distracted.†While Benny was trick or treating, Lily relaxed at home as she was waiting for her mother to buy her a costume. “Silly Benny!†she said to herself as she saw him running past her home. He needn’t work that hard! “Hey Lily!†Greeted her mother, “I’m home!†“Mommy, mommy, where’s my costume?!†Demanded Lily. “Sorry Lily, I couldn’t find one!†responded Lily’s mom. Lily was awestricken. She did not have a costume and it was already 7 o’clock. There was no way she was going to win. Lily wandered around the house trying to find an answer. Finally, she saw it. There were boxes of candy in her room that her brother had brought her. She could just place the candy in her bag and say that she got it from trick or treating! At 10 o’clock, Benny decided to go home. Besides, he was certain she did not collect as much candy as he did as she saw her lounging on her sofa when he passed her home. The next day, for the first time in history, Benny was not late. In his hand was a pillowcase with all of his candy. He was overjoyed because he knew that there was no way she had as much candy as he did. Lily, on the other hand, was late. In her hand was a much bigger pillowcase with all of her candy. Lily knew that she had won, but she had also cheated. She realized that Benny had worked really hard! She knew she didn
- I need some serious help understanding this dream (sorry it's long-don't answer if your gonna be a jerk).?
I had this dream that I was still living in my old house with my mom and there was some serious evil vibes inside the house. My mother and I went next door to invite the new neighbors over for tea and they didn't answer. I noticed the baby Jesus manger scene in their front yard (kind of like the christmas decorations), only the scene was as small as a dollhouse and was made of marzipan. I then felt the urge to eat the marzipan baby Jesus, so I did without caring what the neighbors would think. Afterwords I walked back home and saw my mom sitting in the dining room. When I walked in I felt a strong sense of fear so I walked back out, sat in the front porch and saw the new neighbors walking toward my house. I greeted them and my mom welcomed them in the house. Right when the man and his wife walked in, the wife started yelling and screaming "Look at their hands! They need help!". The man apologized for his wife, but told us he had to leave-that something wasn't right. I didn't notice anything unusual about our hands while they were there, but right when they left I noticed I was pouring blood from my right wrist down and my mother was bleeding from her left wrist down. I felt the sense of evil return after the neighbors left and there was a sound like someone was kicking the walls around us. There was strong wind in the house but looking outside everything was normal. My mother and I held hands and said The Lords Prayer. As we were saying the prayer our voices would occasionally range to a deep and sinister tone. When we finished the prayer, I yelled the verse "deliver us from evil" once more. The wind, the kicking sound coming from the walls, our bleeding wrist, and the evil vibes all stopped in a split second-then I woke up with a racing pulse, drenched in sweat, and crying. I don't know what the absolute cause of the dream was. I used to practice seances and black magic from ages 12-15 (I'm 20 now), but none of my practices actually worked accept once or twice if it wasn't just a coincidence. I never used a Ouija board although I've recently read about some experiences and a couple of people even stated the names of the demons they communicated with. I would say I'm at least 75% skeptical, some strange and unpleasant occurrences have happened after I quit practicing black magic and seances. Just a few of those experiences since I've quit are: I've had sleep paralysis episodes at least once a year, I've seen a shadow figure in my old house (the one in the dream), I've moved but keep having nightmares about my old house, my mom started having seizures out of nowhere and hallucinates and hears evil laughter and voices before a seizure, my grandma claimed to have seen my mom channel a ghost of an old lady in my old house which caused her to have a seizure. I believe there could be a logical explanation for these series of strange experiences, but also think there might be more to it. I don't know if my dream is a sign of something, but everytime I have a nightmare my old house is usually in it. I'm Agnostic but I'm honestly trying to believe in a higher power as difficult as it is. I've been trying to be a better person altogether, but optimism is hard to achieve when I've been a pessimist almost my whole life. I'm sorry I'm rambling, everyone. But I need answers. Why would I have a dream about stigmata and what's with house always being in my dreams?
- How do I handle my boyfriend's family?
My boyfriend's family really dislikes me. It all started around Novemeber, when we started seeing each other. He asked me to move in fairly quickly, and I accepted. He had even mentioned it to his mother and she was excited for me to move in. I moved in around January. I had previously had my own apartment, my own everything.. I had been single and independent for years. Shortly after I moved in, his parents called him and asked him to come over and have a family talk with them. He drove over to their house and sat through a lecture about how he was changing because of me. They also said I was a party girl and that I was an alcoholic. (I drink socially, but not excessively. And it's not very often that I go out socially either.) He defended me to his family and told them they were wrong and that there was nothing wrong with me. He came home and was honest with me about what his parents concerns were. It really hurt my feelings. I thought my relationship with is parents was good, but really they were talking behind my back. His brother came over in January and told us that his parents had been complaining at home about how I changed the way the house looks and it doesn't even look like their son's house anymore. I had an apartment before I moved in.. I had furniture and decorations, what was I supposed to do with them?? Anyhow, we mentioned these things to his mom and she denied ever saying anything. Last month my boyfriend implusively bought a new vehicle. His family blames me for making him get a new car, when I had nothing to do with his decision. Then my boyfriend and I talked and decided to trade in our other car and get another new one. Realistically, we have to pay to tag 2 new vehiles, but the payments would be the same as our other cars. I just feel like everytime he makes a decision, it's my fault. On Saturday night, we went to his parents house to 'show face.' We brought some movies, because we thought we'd stay and watch something with them. Well, we mentioned it and no one seemed interested, so everyone kinda dispursed and did their own thing. I've been to his parents house multiple times, and I don't usually have much to say. Mostly I'm too afraid something I'll say will be twisted and used against me later, but I'm also a very shy and quiet person. We went outside and his brother's girlfriend was grinding on his brother lap and it was just awkward. I mean, they were just messing around, but it made me and my boyfriend uncomfortable. My boyfriend mentioned they should 'get a room' and then shortly after we left. My boyfriend was told by his mother yesterday that he should call and talk to his brother. My boyfriend called his bother and his brother pretty much said I was using him. He kept saying they try to talk with me but I don't open up and that his parents were ranting about me once we left the night before. (for the record, I do talk to them when they talk to me directly. I can't help that I'm not a social butterfly) So, my boyfriend called his mom and wanted to question her. She got all defensive and just handed the phone to his dad. His dad tried to play it safe and didn't say too much. He did say that I should be calling his mom if I have an issue. But I'm not the one with the issue, she is and she tells everyone else about it but me! He said he didn't have any issues with me and that we shouldn't worry about what his brother was doing since it wasn't our house. I can respect that, but it still doesn't change that it made me uncomfortable. Something like that wouldn't happen in my parents house. There have been tons of other things, but I don't have time to list them all. It just seems like I'm never doing anything right in their eyes. My boyfrieind has gone out to a bar with me twice and they were accusing him of being an alcoholic last night and saying he might need to go see someone about it. Every decision we make is the wrong one. If I come over and don't talk, I'm bitchy. If I come over and talk, then I'll say the wrong thing. HELP??
