- HELP- Princess birthday party business- at a venue, or come to your home?
I want to start a princess birthday party business- my plan is to have a venue that I can transform into an enchanting little place for the princess party that dreams are made of. My question: To start out, I have a few different options. Which would you say is my best option? 1.) Take my parties on the go to get my name out there. Offer my services on the go, for a lower price, at client's home. (custom invites, unique games, place settings and chair decorations, adorable fluffy skirts, treat bags) 2.) Rent a 630 square foot room by the day (I found a good one that's $90 for nine hours- this is enough time for two different parties and plenty of set up time), and decorate it and have a couple different parties on that day. Charge higher price. Still get my name out there, with the venue-environment that I originally planned, but no long term lease contract. 3.) Suck it up and just go for it- get my perfect venue. Paint, decorate and permanently have a location for my business. Scary to sign a lease, but probably more professional. What would be best? As a parent, what would you respond best to? ETA: For a venue, I would charge $119 for a 2 hour weekend party, and $79 for weekday (not as popular, but the discount may entice more bookings) In my area, we have 6 birthdays each day for girls ages 4 - 10. We have Chuck E Cheese, but nothing like this. I think that if I start out with princesses, I can really make it the best- instead of doing many types of parties and having them just so so. I think the prices are probably pretty fair, and comperable to what parents would spend plus the cost of the convenience of someone else doing it? I wouldn't do the food- I looked into that, but I would need my kitchen to meet health inspections 24/7, and I would have to have additional insurance for food allergies.

- Need party ideas for 8 yr first Halloween party?
My daughter just had her 8th birthday and asked to have a Halloween party as a bday party. Now I need some good ideas: Food, decorations, games type things. I'd like Halloween themed things. We're using vienna sausages in jars as fingers, noodles as guts in a skeleton etc. The party is at 4 so I'd like some dinner type Halloween food, not just pizza. The more the better, simpler the better too as I have 3 other kids at home too. Please help. . .

Right now, my room seems kinda bland. All I have in it is a minifridge, bed, and a desktop pc. I have no decorations, posters, pictures, etc. It feels kinda empty and dull. I wanna be able to feel more comfortable when I come home from school and when I go to bed. And more motivated when I'm doing school work and playing games. Any suggestions on how I can make my room a bit more alive and "fun"?

- I need help with games for a bridal shower/bachelorette party.?
Help! I am helping my coworkers throw a bridal shower/bachelorette party for my unit secretary this Saturday. I have got decorations, food, and drinks. Now I need games and prizes. Any new & fresh games? I have done so many showers & used the same games over & over again(toilet paper wedding dress, how well do you know the bride, famous couples, the purse game, etc). The bride is pregnant, however there will be drinks served for the rest of us. No strippers please. Will be at our friends' home. Also, what about prizes? Thanks so much for your help. It is taxing to come up with new ideas for each and every party.
- Any ideas for my Winter Wonderland Sweet Sixteen?!?!?
I LOVE the snow, and my sweet sixteen theme is Winter Wonderland. I have a low budget of about $500. At my school, everyone literally has massive sweet sixteens that they spend thousands on dollars on, but I still want mine to be nice. =( My party will be at home with about 25 people. Any ideas for decorations / invitations / games / music / new movies (that will be out this November)? =)
