   im trying to purchase a house and the outside of it and all the frame work inside has been done. the builder was foreclosed on before finishing it. the county does not have a copy of the plans and i cannot get them from the builder either. it was started in 2001 and foreclosed on in 2004. how can i find a copy of the plans? please help!

   I am planning to build a house in the near future and I would like to know whether anyone has used any of the house plans that are sold through various websites. I’d like to know what their experiences have been. I haven’t built a house before and I’m not necessarily trying to save on architect’s fees. I have, however, seen some house plans online that I really like and I wonder whether there is any downside to using one of them.

   My grandfather built his own house in the 50's to 60's and he built it based on plans he found in a magazine. But I do't know what magazine. I would like to try to find these plans. Does anyone know what magazine he might have seen this in? What magazines had these? Someone told me it was from popular mechanics.. but I can't find anything supporting that popular mechanics had house plans. Maybe he found the plans advertised in popular mechanics? Any info would be much appreciated.. It's a fairly modern looking house.. it had kind of a craftsman vibe to it.. but it didn't really have craftsman design elements I don't believe..

   We are looking for a architect or engineer to draw up house plans of a house we would like to build in Alberta at a good cost per square foot - less then 50 cents would be nice. We don't need the plans stamped and need to get these plans fast. 8. How do I find the cost of building a house by the plans?

   We want to buy land and build a house in Tennessee, but I'm trying to get an idea of how much house plans similar to what we want costs to build. I'd like somthing like a 2300 sq ft country style farm house with a small guest cottage on as much land as we can afford after the house (10 acres or so). But, I need to get a rough idea of the house costs in order to actually look at land. Short of going to Tennessee and sitting down with a builder, how can we get an idea of how much something like this would cost? Any builders out there?

    I have been searching the internet and all of the plans I found have a courtyard but either: a) one side of the courtyard is open, or b) the front door of the house leads to the courtyard. (or both). I just can't seem to find something to fit exactly.

    Just wondering as im considering a small self build project but the budget is tight and i wondered if you could buy ready made plans to save the expense of getting an architect to design a house for you.     I draw a lot of house plans, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good architectural design program for Macs. 24. How can I store house plans?

    I have a lot a house plans and need a way to store them for easy access. I had rather not keep them rolled up. I was hoping for a way to organize and store out of sight, maybe in some sort of furniture. I have looked at office depot and they have a hanger system and a cart that separates them into square cubicles. I really do not like either, I was hoping for something that looks more like furniture.

    I am an architect that is trying to start doing home additions and changes to builder's house plan (on the side at home) and am wondering where I should go to get the business? Since it is not going to be my main source of income, I will be able to do it fairly cheap and for less than most companies can. I just am having a hard time figuring out where to sell my services. 27. Is there anyone that can help me get some unknown measurements for my house plans?

    I have them in digital format and I can e-mail anyone a copy. I have to draw them to ¼ scale. The plans on the 8 ½ X 11 sheet are not to scale. The house is 42’- 0” X 51’ -3”. The front of the house is 42’- 0” wide. The 42’ measurement on the 8 ½ x 11 sheet is 3 ¾ long and on the 17 x 20 sheet of paper it’s 10 ½ wide which is ¼ scale.
