- How is the interior design look of turkish homes? Is it arab look-alike or european look-alike? Or both ?
In Belgium, I saw many furniture stores owned by Turkish inmigrants, and they seem to be mixed-influence, with oriental style sofas and modern style sofas. And it seems that everyone has carpets at home. But I just don't know how the average Turkish people arrange their home. Do they like modern design ? What about the lightings ? What are the preferences of Turkish people, regarding interior design ?
- What do you think of my dream house? What is your dream house?

- Can Anyone help with Interior Design Advice?
I am a lover of the shabby chic feminine romantic cottage style. My husband prefers masculine, modern, dark furniture, Eames chair look. We live in a large open California style home with marble-like tile and metal windows. Much of our furniture and accessories is to his taste. Any suggestions about how I can bring more of my softer, "shabbier" look into our rooms? Or must I select a few rooms as "mine" and leave the rest to the hard-edge, leather-covered masculine style?
- inspiration for interior design?
We can afford to paint our naked walls. Our house is fairly new and the furniture is from his bachelor pad. (black leather furniture) I have to work around them. We want a bright and happy, family oriented, yet modern home. I like accent walls I just can't think of a color scheme that goes with black. I'm not sure why the picture is the shadow of a boy cause I'm a girl.
- How do I convince my parents to change their opinions on what looks nice in terms of interior design?
I'm 14 and and love modern houses. My parents are totally the opposite. Our house is small and old but we have fixed it up from the outside and it looks nice now(that took a long time because i had to keep repeating, 'Mum, this is nice, it's modern' or ' Dad, we shouldn't have too many plants because it's too crowded and just doesn't look nice' etc.) The problem is the inside. The furniture is country/modern which looks nice but my parents can't stop doing little things to annoy me. Photos - Instead of putting a few photos with matching frames and mainly in one area of the room, they put HEAPS of photos in mismatched frames all over the place. I cringe everytime I walk past them. I can't believe I walked past them for the past 2 years and didn't say anything earlier. I brought this up because we are going to renovate so I thought we should have a fresh start meaning making the house more modern. I like plain, they like detail, I like render, they like brick, I like floorboards, they like carpet etc. I have had so many headaches and arguments over this I'm wondering if i should give up. All I want after everything is complete is a organized, presentable and modern home that doesn't have to cost too much. My parents are just making it difficult. Btw, this reno won't cost much because I'm trying to save them as much money because all I want them to do is take the photos down (which is free). The rest will follow from there.

- advice on turbocad please....?
I want to draw 3d interior designs on my pc I have used home design programmes but these are a bit limited to what I want to do in terms of renders and the limited built in furniture and appliances. I really want to design something really modern and bespoke and finish with a detailed model with textures and lighting effects. I have been looking at turbocad v11 deluxe but I am a complete beginner I have never used turbo cad or other 3d drawing programme so I wouldn't knnow where to start....how easy would it be for me to pick up? Can you recommend any other programme suitable for a complete novice to do what I want?
